Vacation Ideas

Yellowstone and Grand Teton

Yellowstone National Park is located in the Northwest corner of Wyoming, and expands into parts of Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone is a great family vacation destination if you enjoy seeing incredible and unique natural beauty. Many of the popular sites can be seen without long walks/hikes but there are also more adventurous options making it a great choice for a variety of families.

Sights to see/things to do in Yellowstone include:

  • Watch Old Faithful geyser erupt and shoot water 130 feet in the air.
  • Marvel at the rainbow waters of the Grand Prismatic Spring, one of the largest hot springs in the world.
  • Gaze down or hike through the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and see the beautiful Upper and Lower Falls.
  • Drive through the Hayden or Lamar Vallies and watch for wildlife like elk, bison, and grizzly bears. The park is home to the largest group of free-roaming bison in the world.
  • Explore Mammoth Hot Spring which has fascinating natural terraces and sculptures.

Grand Teton National Park is a gorgeous mountain range that is not too far from Yellowstone. We highly recommend going to visit this area for a day during your trip to Yellowstone.
