Charleston is a food town! There are SO many great places to eat! Many of the nicer restaurants will be fine with well-behaved kids, but you may feel more comfortable at some of the less fancy but still delicious places like the ones below.
Downtown:
- Poogan’s Porch – southern food in a charming old house on Queen street, with a kids menu.

- Bay Street Biergarten and Taco Boy both have good food with large outdoor dining areas that are very kid-friendly
- Two good BBQ spots that are kid-friendly – Lewis BBQ and Hometeam BBQ
Mount Pleasant
- Coastal Crust – a pizza place with an outdoor space for kids to play
- Belle Station – a wide variety of food and beverages with an outdoor space for kids to play
